Michelle is an experienced ADHD Nurse Specialist and Nurse Prescriber who has worked for over 16 years in the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, alongside three years of practice in the private sector.
Michelle is a paediatric trained nurse and gained her nursing diploma from the University of Hertfordshire and began her career in acute care settings. Her growing interest in psychology and mental health led her to further her education with a degree in Psychology from the University of Westminster, followed by a Master’s degree in Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health from London Metropolitan University. From this, Michelle’s journey as an ADHD Nurse Specialist began with her involvement in developing the role and helping to establish the ADHD service within the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in the community within the ADHD team and it’s continuing development. Michelle’s passion is providing training and education and helping young people to reach their potential and to have their strengths recognised and encouraged. Michelle is a registered member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and has been part of several publications and pathways in relation to ADHD.
