About School Doctor: An innovative Social Enterprise conceived by experienced Developmental Paediatricians and Experts that is now open to referrals.

 

We work with teachers, SENCO and SLT professionals, parents, care-providers, GPs, and other health professionals providing support to children and young people struggling to access the educational curriculum. We also provide specific advice and triage for children and young people that have difficulty accessing education.

 

9.15am on Friday, 7th October 2022 – Recognition and early intervention in children with support need to access education.

 

Audience: Teachers, SENCO and SLT professionals, parents, and caregivers.
This half-day session will provide advice to Primary and Secondary School teachers, parents and colleagues regarding common neurodevelopmental problems and access to support including the Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
For teachers this will provide CPD as evidence for School Improvement Plans (SIP), OFSTED, and Individual Performance Management Targets.
For parents and caregivers this will offer advice on common neurodevelopmental conditions in children and where to go in the system for support.

 

9.15am on Friday, 10th February 2023 – Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs and Neurodiversity.

 

Audience: Healthcare professionals working with children and young people, including GPs.
This half-day session will provide access to CPD for health professionals working with children and young people and includes expert advice on early identification and management of young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
