Dr Inyang Takon is a Consultant Paediatrician with expertise in Neurodevelopmental and Neurobehavioral Disorders at the East and North Hertfordshire Trust. She has vast clinical experience in the assessment and management of children with developmental disorders. Her areas of interest and expertise include ADHD, ASD, Paediatric Epilepsy, Tic disorders, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and Paediatric Mental Health. Dr Takon also has interest in Paediatric Neuropsychiatric disorders and Functional Disorders in Childhood and Adolescents.

Dr Takon leads the ADHD service in East Herts and is also the CAMHS Liason for the Paediatric Department in her organization. She has been involved in several stakeholder service review including participation in local and national advisory boards. Dr Takon is actively involved in academic teaching and research in the United Kingdom and Internationally. Dr Takon is a founding member of the Medical Forum for Healthcare Professionals on FASD (Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) and has given several talks on ADHD and FASD locally and internationally. Dr Takon has published in local and International Journals and is actively involved in international collaborative research.

Dr Takon has a vision to improve early recognition, assessment and intervention for children with developmental difficulties, particularly children within schools.
